wow, what a birthday gift!

wow, what a birthday gift!

Thirty two years ago today(give or take 10 years),on a cold and rainy October morning in Milwaukee Wisconsin, Joyce Jordan, the beautiful young bride of police officer Lawrence T. Jordan... gave birth to Eric Benet Jordan. Knowing my Mother she probably sang her way through the worst of the labor pains.

I have so much to be grateful for in my berfday. I have my health, a perfectly wonderful daughter who brings me an unlimited supply of joy love and laughter, a considerable amount of remaining brain cells and sanity I, unlike so many people on this planet who are less fortunate, am living my dream.

For all who read this lil' message, because of you I can travel the world with my friends, record soulful, feel good, positive music, enjoy an unreasonable amount of fun and laughter....and call it employment.

I thank you all very much!

I have another sold out show here in Houston 2morrow nite. I dont know what the band has cooked up for me this evening off in the city... but Im sure at some point some one will pass out in public.

Any man who has unconditional love from family and friends...truly is a man who has everything. Although I undoubtedly qualify for this blessed distinction, God has seen fit to give me just a lil mo' today.

Tonite.. I will witness Barack Obama deliver his coup de grâce to Mr. McCain. What an wonderful birthday present !! In true Sarah Palin form on Oct 15th.. I and the rest of the world will watch Barack Obama shoot the old Moose and put him out of his misery! "Can you... feel a... brand new daaaaaaay" ('The Wiz' reference).

Thanks again everyone for being a very important part of my dream come true. Make sure you put the "kyte" video link on your myspace/facebook (or whatever) profile! Spread the Love and Life movement !  :-)

Love and Light,

EB

Happy Belated Birthday Eric!!!!

Hello Eric.I hope this message finds you and yours in good health. I was listening to your cd and thought I'd stop thru to say hi and HAPPY belated BIRTHDAY!!!. May God bless you with many more blessed, exciting, wonderful, and fun birthdays to come. I've been out of touch lately because of illness and a 9 day hospital stay (migraine headaches and Gall Bladder removal). I'm ok now. I'm still having migraines, but I'm slowly getting back in the swing of things (pray for me). Anyway, Eric your new cd is absolutely amazing. I love all the other cds as well, but this one has so much passion and soul in it. I really enjoy the dance tunes on the cd as well as the ballads. You picked songs we can dance to (like the 2 step). I dance to you, work out to you and simply chill with you. I love the whole cd, not just a few songs. Keep up the great work sweetie cuz you hit a home run with this one.

I love you Eric, but I'm highly disappointed that you have'nt added Memphis, TN back to your tour dates. One day it was there, the next day it was gone. I hope you add it real soon cuz I'm graving me some Eric Benet. Oh, I checked out you and India on you tube. That was really nice. You guys sound so cute together. She's a beautiful and talented young lady.

Thanks so much for sharing your talent with us. Keep it coming cuz I am a TrueEBfan for life. Luv ya, Phyllis 'Glamourgirl' Smith.

Happy Belated!!

Mr Benet, Thank you.

First of all Happy Belated Birthday!!!! It reads like you had a great time... and well earned I'm sure. Secondly...Thank you
- for entertaining the world
- for putting smiles in people's hearts
- for calming troubled souls
- for being an inspiration to many
- for representing Milwaukee - Brew City - in very good fashion

I'll admit, I was a 'quiet' fan for a long time and listened to your music, still wishing I could hit all those notes comfortably (lol). And the more I listened, and read, and heard about you, I became less of the 'quiet' type and began talking more. Your current album (yes, I know what an album is), hit me hard. I heard samples during and interview you did on the radio and I said to myself, "Self!"

And my self said, "Hmm?"

"You's gosta get dat album." (Mr. Brown reference)

(I won't name the interview, but when is Sybil due?? Just kidding)

So I did and Oh my Lard, Oh my Good Grease! I love it!! Its another push / inspiration for me to keep persuing my own music career. And for that, I thank you. And hopefully, one day, I can add myself to the amazing list of talent that stems from the Milwaukee area.

For others reading this (and laughing), Milwaukee (Wisconsin in general) has put out some unforgettable entertainers. Look 'em up... Mr. B, Al Jareau, The Violent Femmes, The Dodeans, Jane Kaczmarek, Kathy Kinney, Yolanda Roth........

Houston Concert

I just wanted to say thanks for coming to Houston. God has blessed you with an amazing gift, and you sure know how to use it. Your voice is flawless! It was the best, and most memorable concert I've ever been to in my life! Seriously!!!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE your new album. Every song on it could be a hit. I know you'll sell out many more shows, but don't forget to come back and see us in Houston.

I've never been to a concert where someone (as famous as you) would take the time after a gig to take pictures with the fans. Or give the fans reports on the road via video. Most artists of your calibar are unapproachable, yet you seem very down to earth, not to mention hysterical. Ya'll do and say some crazy $h*t on those Kyte videos. :)

Oh, and before I forget...Happy Belated Birthday! I was sooooo nervous when I took my picture with you after the concert that I forgot to mention it. :) As I said when I approached you (as did many others), "You made my whole night!" Thanks again for giving me and your other Houston fans such an outstanding concert, for making time for your fans, and for continually encouraging people to vote. GO OBAMA!!!!!!

Take care and may God continue to bless you and all those you love!

Sincerely,

Deanna

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

EB-

Happy, happy birthday. Just know that my world... no the world in general, is a much better place with you in it. When I've had a hard day at work and life's trials and tribulations get to me "Chocolate Legs" is that much needed break away from all the world's problems for a moment. It immediately puts me in the zone. LOL

Seriously though, you deserve all the love your heart and hand can hold. You chose to share your amazing gift with the entire world and God will continue to bless you for it. I know you are a blessing to me. I can't imagine a world without your amazing voice. I had the extreme pleasure and honor of being able to personally meet you backstage at BB King's in NYC last week. Although you were able to grace me with your presence for only a few minutes, it was so easy to see that you are genuinely a good person who is truly humble and does not take your success for granted.

Keep doing what you do Eric. We love you for it. I love you for it. I wish you an amazing birthday and many more to come. You deserve the very best.

Karen

Happy Birthday, Eric!

You deserve all the love, life, and Blessings you've received. These one earns, as I see you have. You emerged from a 'valley' into some of the highest realms witnessed in human form, a challenging accomplishment that proved you an accomplished human being.

Enjoy this day and further days as you continue to "Ease on down the road....." to further success.
