Detroit here I come.... Presidential debates

Hey family !!
Did a sold out show @ the House of Blues last night..the show was off the Shmacka Lacka !! Feels so good to see the audience feelin my music like that. This is truly THE BEST JOB!

Today I am off to Detroit....got a show at City Theatre tomorrow night

Ok..the McCain comedy hour has turned into the McCain comedy marathon. Tryin to get some big brownie points and look like "Mighty Mouse" to save his imploading campaign...once again his plan backfired and he ended up just lookin like "Risky Rat". The Comedy ensues when Mr. McCain tried to blame Barack for the bailout bill not being passed??? Wow..looks like our "mavericks" campaign is nothin but smoke and mirrors and a series of bad judgment calls. Speaking of monumental bad judgment calls...can't wait to see the VP debate!! Which I'm sure from Mrs. Palin's incoherent responses to questions (that any potential VP should handle with ease), this debate will be one "Gotcha Moment" after another!
Oooo I can't wait..(in full Alaskan accent) "Its gonna be a hoot..you betcha" !!

VP Debate

Okay..here are my thoughts on tonight's debate. I was surprised that Palin didn't fall flat on her face tonight. She was actually coherent most of the time. Too bad is was the same old campaign talking points (lies) that she was spouting. As Biden stated, 'I haven't heard anything yet'. Palin avoided answering questions. Well at least the questions put before her. She had answers (sound bites). They didn't necessarily coincide with the questions being asked though. I mean really when are you going to specifically state your policy. When are you going to say something that addresses an issue. Lay it out for me. Tell me something. I'm from the midwest and I'm actually sick of the 'folksy' talk. I don't find it cute or funny especially in the state this country is in. Simply put, I don't believe she has the necessary skill sets to run this country. Come on now. Everything she says is so rehearsed and just doesn't seem believable to me. She's nothing more than a talking head for McCain.

I believed Joe Biden tonight. He came across to me as being well versed on all the subjects put before him. There were a couple of places (missed opportunities) where he could have challenged her. I wanted him to interrupt her and correct her then and there. Probably would have thrown off that memorization a bit. Overall though I was very pleased with Biden's performance. I am so happy he challenged the "maverick" title, schooled her on what the role of a VP is, and basically showed the country that McCain and Bush have the same policies. And someone please inform Palin that Bush is the CURRENT President. Therefore when Biden links the McCain campaign to Bush's, he's not looking backwards. He's looking at the here and now.

Bottom line. I believe that they (Obama/Biden) are going to look out for the 'regular' folks. They are the best chance that we have in fixing this country. Because we are broken right now.

VP Debate

What's Up, Eric?!

Your commentary on the VP debate is on point. What you saw during those 90 minutes is exactly what I saw. I knew that Biden would dominate and shine, and I also knew that Pailin would begin decent and choke later.

I guess this is the result of cramming to the point where you can't remember a damn thing when it counts.

Biden's combination of substance, specifics, and empathy proved to me and the rest of the voters out here that he is by far the better choice for Vice President.

I didn't get the same thing from 'Failin'. Her empty retoric and fake charm is not fooling anyone. She is not VP material, and that's the bottom line.

Anyway, I have some great news to share with you. Obama will be holding a rally in Asheville Sunday Afternoon, and I will be in the house! I can't wait to hear him speak. According to the local media, Obama can potentially win North Carolina. If this happen, it will be the first democratic win in the state since Jimmy Carter's win in '76.

If I get the chance to meet you after next Saturday's show, I'll tell you what happened Sunday.

Until then, enjoy ur day off tomorrow and get u some sleep :)

Much Love,

Jannelle

DETROIT

I'm lovin' your McCain expose'.

The Huffington Report (online) today is talking about how Biden may be coached to go easy on Palin tonight to avoid being accused of haranguing a 'newbie'. I hope not. Sounds like yet another Repub attempt to avoid the issues.

Awesome Performance

Hi Eric,
Thank you for the love shown to your fans .... Detroit loves you!!!!! I just left the show , thanks for taking the time to meet and greet me back stage for your autograph..."Much Love". I also wanted to let you know that your show was a good feeling preformance with songs that I can relate, and some of the best R&B I've heard since your 1999 debut "True to Myself” . Someone said it had a dash of gospel, a couple dashes of jazz and little bit of hot buttered soul.... May your challenges, victories, blessings continue to speak in songs you write.
Much Love,
True EB Fan,
Cookie

Welcome to Detroit

Eric, I am exceptionally glad your tour included the Big "D"... I can't wait for the show tomorrow night to experience a R&B old school crooner. I hope the show is sold out at the City Theatre also!
Love you ,and let's not forget to vote for Obama in 08:)
True EB fan,
Cookie

RE: Detroit/Debates

Congrats on the sold out show @ the House of Blues! The only way to top that is to do another one sold out show. I'm pretty sure Detroit will be packed too :)

As far as the hot mess that is McCain goes, I can't wait until Thursday's debate. I'll be in front of the tube with my popcorn ready, and I can't wait to see Biden demolish Palin. Did you know that McCain tried to have the VP debate cancelled too?
